Chuck it in the Bin and Start Again.

In this episode Darrell and I discuss when is it a good idea to throw your current product or process in the bin and start again.
If you're building software the right way, starting small finding a market and shipping early you'll probably get to a point like us, where the original product doesn't quite fit the future vision, if you want to know how to decide between refining or rebuilding this is the thought process we went through.
The old saying of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" doesn't sit well with us. We think you should always be looking for new ways to improve your products and processes to maximise efficiency and deliver the best result.
There are two ways you can improve what you do. The first is to refine which is simply improving small pieces over time. The second way is a lot more aggressive where you throw out what you have and start again. Before selecting your approach you should start by considering the pros and cons of each.
